Food, Football and Friends - WHAT A BLAST!

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR, September 18, 2010 - For those of you who weren’t able to make it to the 2010 Company Picnic, you missed a great time! Although the day was warm, the shade of the pavilion and the large electric fans kept everyone cool.

Friends and family started rolling in at 10 a.m. and after a welcome from Petey King (on behalf of Angela), a prayer was said, and food was served. Thanks to Adams Catfish for a great meal--there was plenty to go around for those with big appetites.

Once the food got settled, it was time to work it off with a game of horseshoes. Tournament winners were Bill Conrad and Michael Shellnut…Way to go guys!! For all the other participants, it’s time to sharpen those skills for next year!

WELSCO had our own tailgate party during the picnic with a satellite linkup so we could cheer on those HOGS!! What a fantastic idea! “BINGO” was the name of the game for those less interested in football. But it was something to see others dividing their attention between the numbers called and checking the score. The kids weren’t left out…Funland was the place to be and several small playgrounds close by with new equipment for the kids to spend their energy on.

A big WHALE DONE to all those that hooked up equipment, time and talent to making this day a huge success!! From setting up tables, bringing drinks, managing the games and prizes for employees, setting up the TV and satellite for the game, to the clean up after all was over. A special thank you to Wendy Ross for the t-shirt design and allowing us to use that same design for the cake.

Everyone went home tired but happy (after all the HOGS did WIN!!) Thanks to all that showed up and joined in the fun. It was great to see everyone, to chat and catch up.

Look forward to seeing everyone next year. You don’t want to miss out, so mark your calendars and pack up your family. We will see you there!!
