LITTLE ROCK, AR, December 7, 2006 - A record crowd attended WELSCO's annual
Arkansas Welding Expo at Alltel arena. This year over 2,500 people
participated in live discussions and hand's on demonstrations aimed
at serving and educating the welding community of Arkansas.
The
event included over
40 vendor
booths filling the arena floor including Miller, Lincoln
Electric, Hobart and many more of the top welding vendors in the nation.
Customers and
students were encouraged to participate at every booth and were able to buy
welding products such as welders, abrasives, clothing, etc. at significant
discounts. Miller brought the Roadshow trailer and the OCC/Miller chopper.
Easter Seals sold t-shirts and held a raffle for a chance to win a new
Miller 140 auto set welder. Demos and contests
Seminars were held for the first time this year during the Expo. Topics
covering fume extraction, gas apparatus safety and new techniques in
aluminum welding were all well received. Plans to expand and include other
topics are already in the works for 2007.
